Emily (Em) Roberts is an freelance illustrator, hand letterer, and designer whose work is informed by cutting-edge fashion and retro style, playful color combinations, and a desire to find delight in the everyday.  She received her BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2018.

Lately she is interested in digital manipulation and large-scale painting, and has recently added a sketchbook page to reflect that. Emily currently resides in Northern Virginia, where she can be found vegetable gardening and working on her latest paintings.

Her clients include Teach For America, Penguin Random House, Chronicle Books, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and various regional magazines.  She is available for freelance work and can be reached at emily@em-roberts.com.
